I think that in 2010 goes on, factors of on-page and off-page search engine optimization will change as we think it. I think we will see a transformation towards user metrics in determining SERP results. That combined with increased personal results and we'll be seeing a large molding of the searchers experience with Bing and the other search engines. Every search result won't be made alike, take a look at things like user interaction, bounce time, bounce rate, etc... Put your energy on a better website all around, and I think you'll see better results in 2010.

Very nice article. Unfortunately, everyone is right. The work never ends. Another piece of software I use to help with do-follow links is fast blog finder.

How about writing 5 articles all for different keywords and then exchanging links with as many people who have decent blogs as you can find. Think more not less. You have to work, work, work and get more links and more links and more links. 3 way link exchanges are better than 2 way reciprical links so if you have 2 or more blogs or can find people who have 2 or more blogs, 3 way links can be worked out.

I'm going to be writing some articles, which I would link exchange with my blog. My question is, what option is more valuable when it comes to SEO. Would it be more valuable to write three articles? Or to just write one article and exchange links with two other blogs? Or two articles with one blog? Or ... well you get the point.

I have my flagship blog established and I've been working on getting anchored backlinks. Your absolutely right, it's extremely boring and time consuming. I'm actually thinking of using social bookmarking and directory submitters to speed up the process. This is a great post and offers bloggers a lot of help.

Google bots don't click links, they just follow them and they will follow links to your money blog.
You don't have an anchored link on your lens back to your blog and you are using a picture of my check on both your blog and Squidoo lens.

I can't stop you of course but I would rather you not use my check and put a picture of your own up there when you get one. Using my check on your blog just isn't cool. In this business you can try to take shortcuts by "stealing" other people's content and pictures but that is not the way to success.
