SURVEYS FOR MONEY – MOVING UP IN THE SERPS
My last post was made on May 21 and in it I mentioned that I wanted this blog to be ranked for the phrase surveys for money and at that time it wasn’t even in the top 100 (actually it was about 131). That was discouraging but I had to remember that I had been pushing more for “CashCrate referrals” than anything else.
Well, after building a Hub page, trading a link or two, doing a guest post, and writing some articles, this blog is now in about the 83rd position on Google for “surveys for money”. That is a nice bit of improvement but there is still a long way to go.
Guest posting on other people’s blogs is a way of getting anchored backlinks that I haven’t mentioned but it is a lot of work. You usually have to write an original article for any blog owner to accept it and it has to have some quality in it.
I do a lot of article marketing which is writing articles and putting your author bio in with a couple of anchored backlinks to my sites. I submit the articles to more than a handful of directories and that is also a lot of work. Everything is work and that’s just the way it is. If you want to succeed you have to work. Kinda like real life.
Will this blog ever make it to the first page of Google for “surveys for money”? I have no idea but I know it will take awhile. That means months….maybe even 6 months to a year depending on how much time I put into it. But you see, I am in no hurry because I have other blogs I can be working on and have to write stuff for too. All my eggs are not in one basket and neither should yours.
So I have a question.. with article writing, can you submit the same article to a bunch of sites? Or does each article have to be different?
You should write an original article, put two ANCHORED links in the authors box (one to your blog’s URL and the second link to an internal page) and then submit it to http://ezinearticles.com/. They will not accept anything that is not original so don’t even bother. You will always get a PR6 link back from that and you might even get a little traffic too.
I do three or more of these original articles to Ezinearticles for every one of my sites.
I then sometimes take that same article (after it has been accepted) and submit it to a couple of other article sites.
I don’t want to talk about duplicate content or what the value of links are from many of the same aritcles because everyone seems to have a different opinion and honestly, I don’t know for sure myself. All I know for sure is that the Ezine articles are a MUST for the great links they give back to your site.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I know Ezine Articles must be original, I actually have them send me the tips to my email on how to write a great article there, so I’m going to try one soon. I was wondering about other sites though, like the smaller ones, about if it had to be original, but I guess the safest way to go would be originality

Ezine is the only site where I submit original articles. Anywhere else I might submit to is probably not original.
