2 weeks? Try AT LEAST 2 months. This is where is gets real hard for beginners as they don't know when to pull the plug and switch to something else. See if you are in the top 100 after 2 to 4 months of link building. Of course you might have results much sooner for less competitive keywords. If this part you ask about were easy, then everybody would be successful at making money online.

OK. Thanks so much that is very straight forward.

I know you've been through this before, but is it wise to keep trucking through on certain keywords even if you are not finding yourself on Google? I feel like the competition on certain words I have chosen is maybe a little too competitive. How soon would you recommend to start using different keywords if you can't even find yourself on Google after approx. 2 weeks.

Thanks again.

The words used in a link tell Google what the page or blog is about. If I linked to your blog using the anchor text of "Rory's website" then I would be telling Google that your site is about Rory's website. You wouldn't ever want links like that because no one is going to ever search for "Rory's website". You want to get links back to your blog from Hubpages, Squidoo, blog comments, etc that have the exact anchored keywords in them that you hope people are searching for. If they are searching for those keywords and your blog is on the first page of Google for them, they will be able to find your blog.

So just to be crystal clear,

These "backlinks" are just links from well known websites like Hubpages in which your posts on Hubpages link back to your blog using the SAME exact keywords you would use on your blog? - even though the keywords on your blog would probably be linking to cashcrate?

Thanks.

LOL ... this post is hilarious. Some of the answers I see in the forums are ridiculous. New members should learn how to make more money with Cashcrate using other sources, not from newbies lol.
